- Fire Permits are available for purchase ONLINE.
- Fire Permits are based on a calendar year of January 1, expiring on December 31 each year.
- All fires require a permit, but only brush fires and agricultural fires need to be activated.
- Please call 1-844-465-0303 to activate your burn permit
- Recreational fire pits (campfires) DO NOT require activation.
- No fires are to be started or allowed to burn when winds are greater than 20 kilometres per hour, according to Environment Canada.

What time of day can I burn?
Provincial Fire Season - April 1 – October 31
- No person shall start the fire until 2 hours before sunset and shall extinguish it no later than 2 hours after sunrise.
Outside of Provincial Fire Season - November 1st – March 30
- There is no set burn time outside of Provincial Fire Season.
Fire Setbacks

Campfires
The campfire must be at least 5 metres from any building, structure, hedge, fence, overhead wiring, trees, other combustible materials, or the lot line.

Brush Fires
The brush fire must be set and maintained at no less than 30 metres (98 feet) from any building, hedge, fence, overhead wires, trees, other combustible materials, or the lot line.

Agricultural Fires
Agricultural fires must be at least 90 metres away from any building, hedge, fence, overheard wires, trees, other combustible materials, or the lot line.
